DMV: We Used to the Waiting

I’m sorry, but there is no way Lebron does this if he is MVP. Shout out to the whole team, even the rookies? Not a chance. He would probably shout out to his new App, or to Nike for the huge contract. Perhaps a shout out to his mom, but nothing like that. The way Durant thanked Westrbrook? Lebron would actually not mention him if he was in that situation.

Congrats KD, well deserved.

If you haven’t seen this video, it is quite remarkable.  Down 8 points with 42 seconds left against the San Antonio Spurs, Tracy McGrady scored 13 points in 33 seconds, and the Rockets won.

This is, unfortunately and unquestionably, the high water mark for McGrady’s injury-filled career.  You can tell a lot about a guy by his NBA Career Top 10 Plays video, and McGrady’s has a bunch of one-handed dunks and an All-Star Game clip (of him dunking).

So long Tracy McGrady.

This is just unreal. Hats off to one of the greatest playmakers of the millennium.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Grant Hill announced his retirement this past Saturday after a 19-year career in NBA.

Hill made the announcement on TNT before Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers.

"I’m glad to say I’m done," Hill said. "I’m officially retired, moving on from playing. I had a great run. I’m announcing it now. … I’ve been hinting at it the last few years. You get to a point where you just don’t want to do it anymore but I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve loved it."
